Pete Marshall

Coach Marshall is an upper-level manager in the Civil Service Corps of the United States Federal Government and is committed service and mission. Raised in Reston, VA, Marshall has been playing or coaching baseball and football for over forty years. Coach Marshall played youth sports from his earliest ages through high school playing both high school baseball and football at Herndon High School in Herndon, VA, and at Flint Hill Academy in Oakton, VA.
 
Since Coach Marshall’s arrival in Purcellville in 2000 he has been dedicated to the betterment of community and youth programs. In 2001 Coach Marshall joined Loudoun County Parks and Recreation on a part-time basis where he ran the Instructional Basketball Program in Purcellville and in Round Hill for three years. From 2003 through 2005, Coach Marshall managed and coached basketball in the Upward Basketball League at Leesburg Community Church, where “Positive Coaching” was the foundation of the program. From 2001 through 2006 Coach Marshall managed and coached Upper Loudoun Little League (ULLL) Baseball. In 2004, Marshall founded the Loudoun Bulldogs Travel baseball Club dedicated to advance the development of players in the ULLL American League in preparation for the ULLL 12U All Star Tournament. The Bulldogs inevitably staffed the roster for three consecutive ULLL All Star teams. In 2006 Marshall founded and managed the Loudoun Travel Baseball League (LTBL), which consisted of twenty-nine NOVA teams committed to a high-level of play and sportsmanship. During the 2004 through 2009 Bulldogs program, the team made three consecutive appearances in 2006, 2007, and 2008 to the National Baseball Tournament in Cooperstown, NY, two of which were for the “Crown Jewel of Youth Baseball” The National American Tournament of Champions (N.A.T.C.) where the team competed against the top 100 teams in the country including the notorious 2007 LL World Series Champions form Georgia. Other teams included, Boys of Baseball, Team Mizuno, and Anderson Bats. In attendance, were 32 LL State Champions and 46 State Runners-up. This proved to be an incredible experience for the Loudoun players and a memory they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
 
Marshall has also supported the AWANA youth program and the World Missions Team at Purcellville Baptist Church where he has trained and led international youth missions teams to Haiti and Guatemala.
